Meet the Tour leader at 20:00 hrs at the Malta International Airport for check-in on your direct Air Malta flight to Moscow departing at 2200hrs.

Upon arrival at 03:20 hrs, your private coach will make its way towards your centrally located hotel in Moscow for immediate check-in and room allocation. After a couple of hours for your deserved rest, head towards the hotel’s restaurant for your welcome buffet breakfast, before continuing your rest period. In the early afternoon, join the tour leader and a local English-speaking guide for an afternoon sightseeing excursion of Moscow including stops at the Red Square, Alexander the Great gardens, Christ the Savior Cathedral, Sparrow Hills, Victory Park amongst others. Later head back to your hotel for your welcome dinner (optional) and overnight.

After breakfast join your other fellow group members for a very eventful day. During any season, at any hour of the day, Moscow thrills visitors with its artistry, history and majesty. The very founding site of the city the Kremlin and Red Square are still at the heart of Moscow – historically, geographically and spiritually. Feel the weight of this significance as you wander within the walls of the ancient fortress and marvel at the mind-boggling magnificence of St Basil's Cathedral. The remains of the Soviet state are scattered all around the city. Monuments remember fallen heroes and victorious battles. At nearly every turn in Moscow, you'll see golden domes peeking out over the rooftops and hear church bells peeling through the streets, which are dotted with some 600 churches – many of which are glittering after recent renovations. There are colourful hidden gems, historic fortresses and gargantuan cathedrals. The exteriors are adorned with stone carvings and glittering domes; interiors are packed with ancient icons, swirling incense and faithful worshippers. For more than a millennium, Orthodoxy has helped to define the Russian nation, a significance that is palpable in these atmospheric spiritual places. Later head to your hotel for dinner (optional) and overnight.

Today, after breakfast join the tour leader for yet another full day excursion. Visit Sergiev Possad. Blue-and-gold cupolas offset by snow-white walls – this colour scheme lies at the heart of the Russian perception of divinity and Sergiev Posad’s monastery is a textbook example. It doesn’t get any holier than this in Russia. Although the Bolsheviks closed the monastery, it was reopened following WWII as a museum, residence of the patriarch and a working monastery and today it is considered as one of the most important spiritual sites in Russia. After some free time in such beautiful surroundings head back to your hotel in Moscow for dinner (optional) and overnight.

After breakfast and check out, your private coach will head towards one of Moscow’s train stations (an experience in itself), in order for you to board the TGV-standard Sapsan train in the direction of St. Petersburg. Upon arrival, your private coach, accompanied by a local English-speaking guide will start its panoramic/orientation free tour of such grandiose city. Visit the Peter and Paul Fortress. Originally the citadel of St. Petersburg, this was founded in 1703 by Peter the Great on a small island by the north of the Neva River. The fortress contains several notable buildings clustered around the Peter and Paul Cathedral (entrance extra), which is the burial place of almost all Russian tsars. Other structures inside the fortress include the still functioning Saint Petersburg Mint building, the Trubetskoy Bastion with its grim prison cells, and the city museum. Later head towards the Saviour of the Spilled Blood Church. This five-domed dazzler is St Petersburg’s most elaborate church with a classic Russian Orthodox exterior and an interior decorated with some 7000 square metres of mosaics. Later head towards your hotel for check in and room allocation before optional (dinner). Afterwards you can join the locals for the Orthodox Easter celebrations. Even more important than Christmas, Easter is one of the major religious events for Russians, a time that brings a renovated spirit of joy and hope.

After late breakfast enjoy your free time in these beautiful surroundings, before (in the early afternoon) heading towards the Hermitage State Museum. The Hermitage fully lives up to its sterling reputation. You can be absorbed by its treasures for days and still come out wanting more. The enormous collection (over three million items, only a fraction of which are on display in 360 rooms) almost amounts to a comprehensive history of Western European art. Later head back to your hotel for dinner (optional) and overnight.

Today, after breakfast join your fellow group members for a full day excursion to Pushkin and Pavsko. The grand imperial estate of Tsarskoe Selo in the town of Pushkin, is often combined with the palace and sprawling park at Pavlovsk. The town changed its name to Pushkin in 1937 after Russia’s favourite poet, who studied here and whose school and dacha you can also visit. While the palace and park complex's name has reverted to Tsarskoe Selo (The Tsar's Village), the town remains proudly named for the national bard.

After breakfast join the tour leader for your coach transfer in the direction of Peterhof. Board the hydrofoil: The fastest and most convenient way to the famous Kingdom of Fountains - along the Neva and the Gulf of Finland. The hydrofoil will take you to the pier near the Lower Park of Peterhof with comfort and along the way you can see Saint Petersburg and its surroundings from an unusual angle and admire the panoramas of the Gulf of Finland. Peterhof is often referred to as "the Russian Versailles", and became the site for the Tsar's Monplaisir Palace, and then of the original Grand Palace. The estate was equally popular with Peter's daughter, Empress Elizabeth, who ordered the expansion of the Grand Palace and greatly extended the park and the famous system of fountains, including the truly spectacular Grand Cascade. Later head back to the hotel for some free time, before late check out before boarding your private coach that will head towards the Train Station for your transfer back to Moscow. A packed dinner will be provided.

Upon arrival in Moscow continue your way towards Moscow Airport for your direct flight back to Malta leaving at 0420hrs.
