Later, and after dinner (optional) re-join the group for the International Holy Rosary and the Aux Flambeaux procession before overnight.

After breakfast we encourage you to join your tour leader for a full day optional excursion to the region west of Fatima towards the Atlantic Ocean shore. Start your day by driving towards Batalha for a chance to visit the abbey where solid rock has been carved into forms as delicate as snowflakes and as pliable as twisted rope. Then continue your way to Alcobaca for a chance to visit the famous monastery before continuing your way towards Nazare with its narrow-cobbled lanes running down to a wide, cliff-backed beach. Return to your hotel in time for dinner (optional) and overnight.
