Meet the tour leader at 06:45 hrs for check in on your direct Air Malta flight to Munich departing at 08:45 hrs. Upon arrival at 11:05 hrs, your private coach will pick you up to start your holiday with a free excursion to Garmisch, a famous German skiing resort. You will have time to visit this lovely village at the foot of Germany’s highest mountain, the Zugspitze. Free time for lunch (extra) and personal recreation. Afterwards, you will continue towards the shores of Lake Eibsee, where one can enjoy spectacular views of this beautiful lake, before making your way to your hotel in Goetzens a village immersed in the mountains, just few minutes away from Innsbruck. On arrival at hotel, check in, room allocation, dinner (optional) and overnight

After breakfast, we encourage you to join the tour leader on an interesting optional day excursion to the Tyrolean area. You shall first visit the famous Tratzberg Castle (entrance extra), built in the 1500’s to serve as a hunting castle for Emperor Maximilian. After such an interesting visit, you shall head to the nearby village of Wattens, to visit the world famous Swarovski Crystal World (entrance extra). Immerse yourself in this three dimensional museum experience, and relish such beauty made out of crystals, light and sound. The Mega Swarovski shop is also a must, and an experience in itself. The group will then head to Innsbruck historic city centre. One can have lunch (extra), or enjoy a stroll in the pedestrianised Maria-Theresien Strasse, the most famous street in Innsbruck. At one end of such street one can find Innsbruck’s world famous attraction: the Golden Roof. You shall have ample time for shopping, in one of the many shopping complexes within the area. Return to your hotel in time for dinner (optional) and overnight.

Today, after breakfast, we offer you a marvellous optional day excursion to Germany’s frontier village of Berchtesgaden. The highlight of the day, shall be the visit to the Eagles Nest complex: an infrastructural marvel, built as a present to the German dictator, Adolph Hitler. Renovated after the end of World War II, this complex today houses, a pretty restaurant in the former tea house. (Should it be impossible due to the weather conditions on the day, you would visit the Salt Mines). Enjoy lunch (extra) or coffee in this historic edifice, before making your way down to visit the nearby Lake Koenigsee. Lake Koenigsee, is Germany’s highest lake, framed with steep mountain walls, and an interesting artisan market. Return to your hotel in time for dinner (optional) and overnight.

After breakfast, we encourage you to join the tour leader for an optional transfer to Munich to witness the official costume opening parade of this year’s 185th edition of the Oktoberfest Munich Beer Festival. The rest of the day is free to enjoy the Oktoberfest. Make sure to visit the beer tents and join in the fun and spirit of the Oktoberfest. Return to your hotel in the late evening in time for dinner (optional) and overnight.

Today, after breakfast, we offer you another spectacular optional day excursion to the Austrian region of Tyrol. You will start by driving towards Alpbach, where you can take a cable car (extra), to the Wiedersberger Horn. Weather permitting you will be able to enjoy amazing views over one of the most beautiful valleys in the Tyrol. You shall then visit Rattenberg, a centuries old typical village. You then drive to the skiing resort of Krimml, world famous for the spectacular waterfalls found here (entrance extra). Return to your hotel in time for dinner (optional) and overnight.

Today we offer you an optional full day excursion visiting Munich, the capital of Bavaria. As a group you will head to the historic city centre of Munich in time to visit and enjoy the centuries old chimes of the clock on Marienplatz. In the early afternoon, you will make your way to the Oktoberfest grounds to enjoy the unique atmosphere of this festival. Apart from the numerous and gigantic beer tents, one can enjoy the numerous rides and other activities within the same grounds, during the family dedicated day when all rides and performances cost less. Return to your hotel in the late evening for overnight. (In order to prolong your stay in Munich as much as possible, we will be excluding dinner today).

After breakfast, we offer you an optional excursion to the city of Salzburg, famous birthplace of Amadeus Mozart. Salzburg, is also popular due to its connection to the Von Trapp family and the blockbuster movie of 1965, ‘The Sound of Music’. Have some free time for lunch (extra) or shopping on Getreidegasse, Salzburg’s main shopping street. Return to your hotel in time for dinner (optional) and overnight.

After breakfast and room check-out, you will head to Munich airport in time for check in for your Air Malta flight, departing at 12:10 hrs, with an estimated arrival time back in Malta at 14: 20 hrs
