€9,700 collected in aid of the Malta Community Chest Fund

The Italian-flagged cruise ship Costa Pacifica has been the venue of an event in aid of the Malta Community Chest Fund Foundation.

Costa Pacifica, one of the Costa fleet, entered service in June 2009 and has 1,504 staterooms including 521 with private balconies, 91 spa staterooms, 58 suites with private balconies and 12 spa suites. 200 guests were hosted on board and experienced Italy’s finest atmosphere on this magnificent vessel.  They enjoyed a full tour of the ship, visiting restaurants, lounges, spa facilities, gym, open decks and pool areas as well as the glittering theatre where they were entertained with an amazing Costa show by on–board artists before being treated to a sumptuous lunch.   At the end of the show, the Captain of Costa Pacifica  presented Her Excellency, Marie-Louise Coleiro Preca, President of Malta with a cheque amounting to €9,700 being the funds raised by this event, in contribution towards l–Istrina.

The support of Costa Crociere to local communities finds its expression through the action of the Costa Crociere Foundation. The Foundation addresses tough social and environmental issues in Italy and abroad in order to give people a solid basis on which to build a better future.
