Itinerary

Meet the tour leader at Malta International Airport early in the morning, for check in on your flight (with transit) to Copenhagen. Upon your arrival in Copenhagen airport, you will be transferred to the port for check-in formalities, to board Royal Caribbean’s Serenade of the Seas. Once on board, you are free to explore the facilities and décor of this magnificent floating resort. Get ready for the safety drill on board and then make sure you go on the upper deck to enjoy the experience as your ship leaves the port at 17:00 hrs.

Sit back, kick off your shoes and put your feet up during your ‘at sea’ days, where you can chill in the bar, lounge by the pool or enjoy a relaxing beauty treatment in the spa. For simple pleasures, why not try a game of table tennis? Or if you’re feeling energetic, now’s the chance to explore all the amazing activities the ship has to offer, from spectacular, West-End-style entertainment to adrenalin-charged sports.

The jaw-dropping views of the Norwegian fjords welcome you to Geiranger. After breakfast, an exciting optional half day excursion awaits you. Experience Geiranger’s fjords and the natural surroundings on a comfortable coach ride to Flydal Gorge, the Norwegian Fjord Center and the Mount Dalsnibba overlook. You’ll see mountains, waterfalls and glaciers as your coach negotiates thrilling hairpin turns, passing Lake Djupvatn and Geiranger Church. Your first stop is the iconic Flydal Gorge, where you’ll have a unique perspective of your ship moored in the fjord below. Then, journey to Mount Dalsnibba. From the 4920-foot overlook, on clear days visitors can see the mountains, valleys and even the Geirangerfjord far below. Pause to enjoy the spectacular scenery and take a photo of the incredible view.

A relaxing day spent crossing the Arctic Circle. The top of our planet features the otherworldly beauty of glaciers, vivid skies and unique wildlife, like the porpoises that race ships through these arctic waters. And nothing quite compares to relaxing on deck as you sip hot cappuccino and experience the phenomenal night skies of the Northern Lights!

Tromso lies north of the Arctic Circle, yet enjoys a milder climate thanks to the Gulf Stream. Mountains and fjords make a scenic backdrop for the city whose cultural scene includes buskers, DJs, restaurants and plenty of pubs and bars. During your organized excursion, you will get close-up insights into northern Norway culture, stunning views from a quarter-mile high, and visit Tromso’s famed Arctic Cathedral. Explore Tromso Museum, with its exhibits on the Northern Lights and Lapland’s nomadic reindeer herders. Ascend 1,350 feet into the clear Arctic air on the Storsteinen Cable Car, with views that stretch for miles. Explore the Arctic Cathedral, with its brilliant glass mosaic and a roof inspired by the awesome power of Arctic pack ice.

On the northernmost coast of mainland Norway, the quaint fishing village of Honningsvag is your base for exploring the North Cape and experiencing Sami culture and Arctic wonders like the Northern Lights and Midnight Sun. On today’s excursion (optional) you will explore two of Norway’s North Cape fishing villages and a house full of Christmas treasures. Your tour starts with a drive through Honningsvag, gateway to the beautiful island of Mageroy, and winds along the Skipsfjord to Kamoyvaer, the smallest of the island’s fishing villages. Catch a glimpse of spectacular rock formations on the way to Skarsvag and its North Cape Christmas and Winter House, which is chock full of Norwegian decorations, glass, pottery and more.

On-board dining is about more than just food. Think ambiance, variety and the flexibility to decide when and what you savor. From confectionery delights to California rolls, finger foods to a five-course gourmet meal, a Royal Caribbean cruise is a journey of culinary discovery. The innovative chefs, each trained and certified, will take your palate global with a lineup of complimentary and specialty options.

Your next port of call will be Alesund, one of Norway’s most picturesque and charming fishing ports. Your tour begins by taking a drive up Mount Aksla for a spectacular view of the city, the islands and the Sunnmore Mountains. Then, you will head out of town to the Atlantic Sea Park situated along the oceanfront at Tueneset. The park occupies 1.4 acres of coastal scenery with fishing spots, hiking trails, swimming sites and outstanding diving venues. Atlantic Sea Park contains exhibition space and is the largest aquarium in Scandinavia. It is uniquely built into coastal surroundings and adapted to modern exhibition principles. Large landscape aquariums teem with ocean life direct from the ocean, with an emphasis on the western regions. You can see what the marine life is like under the ferry quay, in the ocean current, between islets and skerries, and in the depths of the Storfjorden. Watch the huge fish and enjoy watching the diver feeding the fish by hand in the large Atlantic Ocean tank.

A tiny village tucked inside Norway’s longest fjord, Flam is known for its storybook setting and the thrilling railroad journey that showcases the surrounding splendors of mountains, waterfalls, calm lakes and bucolic green valleys. All aboard one of the world’s most beautiful railways, for today’s shore excursion, climbing from sea level to staggering 2,800 feet. Flam Railway is a masterpiece of engineering, the steepest railway in the world that runs without a cable or rack wheels. On your journey upward, gain considerable altitude as you cross back and forth over rivers and through 20 tunnels. Don’t miss taking pictures of the incredible view from the thundering Kjosfossen waterfall.

Be humbled by the awe-inspiring views of the Lysefjord, as you join today’s excursion. You will head to the port where a private boat will be waiting to take you on a three-hour journey around the Stavanger archipelago. As you enter the splendid Lysefjord, you will see one of the most spectacular sights in Norway - Prekestolen or the Preacher’s Pulpit, which stands 460 meters above sea level. As you return to Stavanger you will be amazed by the spectacular natural wonders and scenery.

Enjoy your last day aboard. Don’t miss out to shop for variety name-branded items and some last minute duty-free shopping. You will be instructed to leave your luggage outside your stateroom by midnight, as bags will be transported ashore by the ship’s personnel early next morning.

Ship docks in Copenhagen at 07:00 hrs. Enjoy your last breakfast on board as your cruise holiday comes to an end. Once ashore a coach will be in attendance for your transfer to Copenhagen Airport for check in of your return flight to Malta (with transit). For sure, you will bring home with you beautiful memories of amazing places.
